Meet Lisa

Lisa has been in the mental health and disabilities field for over two decades, providing counselling and support for individuals experiencing anxiety, mild to moderate depression, Neurodivergence (ADHD/ Autism etc) and other health and mental health related issues.

Utilizing an integrative approach including narrative therapy, emotion focused therapy, mindfulness, DBT and CBT. Lisa seeks to facilitate and empower individuals and couples who hope to achieve balance and an overall sense of mental health and well-being.

Not all approaches to mental health and wellness are right for each individual. The following are some of the most common approaches Lisa uses in collaboration with the individual to best suit their goals for wellness.

Narrative Therapy

Narrative therapy is a style of therapy that helps people become—and embrace being—an expert in their own lives.

Emotion Focused Therapy

Emotion focused  therapy draws on attachment theory. This approach supports individuals, families and couples process and understand their emotions and attachment style transforming old unhelpful patterns of processing and attachment into new patterns that facilitate a secure connection with self and others. 

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a therapeutic practice for mental health that focuses on an awareness of the present moment.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

A widely recognized and evidenced based approach which is used to address a variety of mental health concerns individuals may be experiencing.
